Christine Brodie is a
veteran, award-winning broadcast and marketing executive with nearly
30 years experience. Brodie launched her radio career in Sacramento
in the early 1970's as the Music Director for KNDE. Moving to Los
Angeles, she helped develop a pioneering "Stereo Rock" format for
Drake/Chenault Enterprises. She later was named Music Director for
KKDJ (later KIIS-FM) Los Angeles, and was Radio Editor at the
preeminent trade publication , Radio & Records. For four years she
was Vice President/General Manager at Goodphone Communications,
where she helped create the groundbreaking "Triple Z Jazz" reporting
network. From 1980 to 1984, she was a director of Graformations,
Inc., a corporation providing packaging and creative services for
the emerging computer software industry. In 1984, Brodie joined
KMET-FM, and was an integral part of the launch of the hugely
successful KTWV-FM "The Wave" in 1987. She became Program Director
of The Wave in 1989, leaving in 2003 to found Christine Brodie Media
Management.
During her tenure at KTWV, the station attained
near-record-breaking ratings and revenue successes, helping the
Los Angeles station reach the national top 15 in revenue
rankings numerous times.
Brodie has been awarded Program Director of the Year honors
by Radio & Records twice, in 1998 and 2000; and was honored by
the Gavin Report with the Steve Feinstein Innovation Award in
1997.
She lives in Agoura Hills, California with her daughter,
Leah.
